How a motorcycle should be loaded
Front wheel locked into a chock, bike upright (never on a side stand under compression straps), soft loops around the lower triple clamp and swingarm or frame — not the handlebars, which can bend under ratchet tension. Four tie-down points, suspension compressed about a third. If the operator who arrives starts throwing a chain over the seat, stop them and call dispatch.
What motorcycle towing costs
Expect $75–$125 hook-up plus $2–$4 per mile, similar to car towing. Some operators charge a small equipment fee for chock and cradle setups. Long-distance bike transport (over 100 miles) is usually cheaper per mile — ask for a flat quote.
